Jami will lead a 60-minute gentle flow yoga class from 6:30-7:30 to get our creative juices flowing. After savasana, we’ll set up while you grab your adult refreshments. Then Sue will demonstrate the theory of Zentangle® using recommended tools and materials to achieve the best example of the art and teach how to make tangles. The Zen Art logo and yoga posture above uses some of the tangles you’ll learn. In addition, the class will explore adding color and images and structure to the Zentangles and applying them to all kinds of surfaces.
What is a Zentangle®?
Also known as "Yoga for the Brain", they are, by definition, pieces of unplanned, abstract, black and white art on small square paper tiles. They are fun and relaxing to create and the process of creating "tangles" is a form of artistic meditation, as one becomes completely engrossed in making each pattern, deliberately focusing on "one stroke at a time."
